Here in Ecuador the Court has ruled that the environment has legal rights to protection. A little good news on an otherwise grim day:

Yesterday we found Mikko, newborn abandoned at the Mercado. Today we were able you rescue one of her siblings. Another one didn’t make it.

We had an unexpected visitor to the cat food bowl tonight, certainly not expected by the cat. The visitor had a bright green underbelly.

We went to the Mercado for a couple of items, came back with a foster kitten. She’s an abandoned newborn, just over 24 hours old.

Our daily visitors just around sunset. They love the mango’s which ripen at this time of year.

Somebody has gotten over her fear of the hammock.

Just a couple of shots of the beach here. We going into summer here, with all the sun and blue skies you could want.

You also need a cat in that garden and it helps if it is eight blocks or less to the beach.
