Demobilization of Tigrayan Forces Launched in Mekelle - Tigrai Tv The demobilization of Tigrayan forces officially began today in Mekelle, marking a significant milestone in the implementation of the Pretoria peace agreement.

The Pretoria agreement signed in November 2022 requires Tigrayan forces to disarm based on the security situation in Tigray. As part of the DDR process, they initially disengaged within the first month and handed over heavy weapons in January 2022.
