If your people are dying and you have the power to stop the war, you do it as soon as possible—no matter what it takes.

We listened to and learned from engaging and entertaining stories from performers with RI Black Storytellers.
Grateful, proud, happy and inspired.
Kids (and older folks) we able to make mini “protest” signs reminiscent of civil rights era messages.
We heard speakers recount their stories of that period in our history and had the opportunity to speak with them in small groups.
We heard powerful and beautiful music.
I was fortunate to have joined the Barrington DEI Committee at the right time, and get to be part of this incredible day!
The committee members worked for many months to put together a program in celebration of the life and spirit of Dr Martin Luther King, Jr, and it showed!
