Research has an economic return multiplier >1. So taxes don't even really pay for research. Research more than pays for itself, the taxes are just used to kick-start the positive economic cycle. The more money invested in research, the better the economy.

There is significant variation in the progenitor cell response to exercise. A contributing factor to this variation is cardiorespiratory fitness. The fitter you are, the higher the absolute intensity you exercise at, resulting in more progenitor cell mobilisation

An ultra-endurance event leads to changes in circulating regulatory T-cells, CD4+ naΓ―ve and CD8+ effector memory T-cells in the 48Β h post-race recovery period - European Journal of Applied Physiology Purpose Exercise is known to acutely affect T-lymphocyte populations in the peripheral blood, which is intensity- and duration-dependent. However, effects of longer duration endurance exercise (>5 h) ...

And last (but not least) ultra-endurance race results in distinct circulating T cell changes in the 48h post race period (doi.org/10.1007/s004...). Regulatory T cells, CD4+ naive and CD8+ central memory cells elevated, with CD8+ effector memory cells decline Thanks to BASES for funding this work.
