Success!! The length is just about exactly what I was looking for and can potentially be extended if need be via creative tailoring (adding some kind of accent striping to the shoulder seam or converting to a raglan style shoulder). Next step is remaking hands/arms and making feet.

The manufacturer finished the memorial pins and they look beautiful!

Hopefully buying an XL will give me enough extra length there, otherwise I guess I'll return it and try to look for a really really big T-shirt I can use for parts.

The my-size crop top isn't THAT far off from being a good fit for bearselfsuit but because I'm trying to achieve a loose illusion of a longer torso and shorter legs I want it to be like... Three inches longer.

Bought a crop top (and then a second one like four sizes bigger to alter) and started planning properly to put this into motion today! Fingers crossed everything goes to plan and I can wear her at Aberacon this year.
