This small minority is not doing anything that can change anything, leave alone "the world." These protests solve nothing, but it is a psychological benefit to the people who think that doing this nonsense is "fighting fascism" and such. So it *is* beneficial to them, Fred, though pointless.

The USAMRIID has not had jurisdiction in any domestic issues tat are causing other countries to issue health travel warnings, and even if we have massive fatalities here we are likely not to be involved, not unless the current administration eliminates the CDC et al nationally -- which it might do

Yes, and this has been a creeping problem for decades, the dumbing down of Western populations which has taken a sharp plunge in the past 2 decades. We have had a very difficult time locating intelligent, well-educated High School and College students to recruit to our science research base.
