Re-reading, with a little distance: I think it absolutely cooks.
I’m willing to bet that this is going to be *most* readers’ favorite sequel.

I've worked really hard to cultivate my "what a nice guy" persona at horror conventions.
But I know a day's coming where someone's going to ask, in person, if my book covers are Al and I'm going to throttle them to death right on the show floor.

A CARRIE-alike that’s also a THE EXORCIST-alike, Curtis Harrington’s RUBY (1977) is a drive-in movie *set* at a Florida drive-in, run by ex-starlet/mob-wife Piper Laurie.
Pretty sedate, but also kinda loved it.
