As a woman in a male dominated industry, my favorite micro-aggression is when I tell people I’m a musician for a living, and they immediately assume I’m a singer. This happens probably 5-6 times a year. “Oh you play in a band? You must be the singer!” Nope, I am not. Women play instruments too. 🤷🏼♀️
