For me, it was honestly the best time. There was nothing to miss.
It was really important for me to see people with a platform talk about their process of getting sober as I considered it for myself. It's the only reason I do it.

It took a long time to get there. But finally asking for help changed the course of my entire life. Everything good that I have, I have because of that choice. If you're struggling, know it's not too late to make a change.

Have thought about this 30 Rock scene a lot the past week.
No reason in particular.
Just chicha morada. But a lot of it.
As someone who's been to a handful of restaurants on that list, I'll say that I don't always find it the most reliable. But we've eaten at a couple of the entries in Lima on this trip, and they've been excellent.
I'll do a roundup of it at some point when our trip is over, but:
Lima is truly one of the most dynamic and exciting food cities I've ever visited in my life. The breadth of Peruvian cuisine is staggering. I can't get over how cool and rewarding it's been as someone who loves this stuff.
Downloaded a bunch of Christopher Guest movies for my flights this week, and I gotta say: Fred Willard's performance in "Best in Show" is legitimately one of the funniest showings in any movie ever. The laughs-per-line average is inconceivable. All-time stuff.
