was just part of the most beautifully executed plan with 10 people to get adjoining boxes for the newly added carnegie hall show. had simulaneous discord chat and conference call going, splitting our targets between calling in and the online queue. went off without a hitch. friendship is magic.

if anyone is wondering, my favorite performance is track 11 from the 4th of july 2023 performance at codfish hollow barnstormers. i have a theory that the closer the room is to experiencing heat stroke, the better the show is. we were all on the brink of collapse. it was transcendent

back in 2015, tMG audiences had a much lower tolerance for gentle piano sections - you will hear that in the comp. through the years, to my great delight, the guys have only leaned harder into performing soft piano interludes and prolonged outro jams - a real Fix Your Heart or Die move.

my favorite part of putting this together was hearing how the differing outros change the entire message. in one, the heel is downtrodden and has lost hope - maybe abandoning his morals was for nothing. in the other, he emerges on the other side a changed man but ultimately victorious.
