twice today, when pressured, Stripe operators have said, plainly, that i cannot use stripe for the purchase of LGBTQ content. not just adult content, but explicitly LGBTQ.

I tried to google this... used different search engines... disabled safe search... it does not exist

I was really confused about so many people saying 'the caitvi kinktober is about people hating on the mods because they excluded rape'

I kind of get it? Like, f/f in fandom spaces is so underrepresented (and I say that as a 100% m/m writer) that you'd want to protect that. I think that's the only kinda fair rule for an event. It's discussable, but it's by far not as ridiculous as the other stuff.

Survivor here. Love cnc, monsterfucking, somnophilia and a lot of other kinky stuff. That's not what's triggering to me (and to avoid triggers there are filters)
Also the thought that rape is always violent and can only happen without consent is ridiculous.

I think there is a misunderstanding. This is about a rule for a fic event saying that you are not allowed to genderbend one or both of the women in the relationship and also none of them are allowed to be trans men.
They did a lot, but they did not forbid men to write fic.

Most of them will learn eventually, let's hope it's enough of them to keep fandom culture alive and thriving. The only good thing is, that AO3 will always be there and will always cater to us freaks :D

😂 At least I'm intelligent enough by now that I know what 'don't like, don't engage' means and why it is important. In my early twenties I had this phase where I thought I needed to fix the world and did it all wrong. Now with nearly 35 I can grab some popcorn and watch fandom wars just happen

funfact: there is also an uprising of people who think that you should not be in fandom spaces if you are 30+ which led to 30+ people keeping to themselves.

Also there are a lot of fandom veterans making noise about this, so don't worry.

Just looked it up, the only repercussion seems to be that you are not retweetet by the main account if you break the rules. I would say y'all know what to do ✌️ I have faith in you. Swarm them with fics that break the rules.

enthusiastic consent DURING a CNC scene? that... uhm... defeats the point? like... how??? I mean if you feel like you are overdoing it or get unsure... yeah sure... but otherwise? that's not cnc anymore?

but that aside, I'm not in that fandom, what are the repercussions if you break these rules?

Small kiki is pulling the adult Kiki by the hand through their apartment. “Don’t punish emotions,pay attention to them. Missing a shower isn’t failure, it’s a sign, a clue. Ask what’s missing, not what’s wrong with you.” Kiki is standing behind her child self, holding her shoulders in support. “It’s not fair that I never got to feel like I am okay the way I am, that no one say how much I struggled and took all the pain away. Look at everything you’ve been through. It makes sense that you’re the way you are. Let’s try our best. Not to get it right for others, but to finally get to know how WE do things.” “At the very least, I can have my own back.”

Shame is one of the hardest things about ADHD for me. I'm back and the book is finished but instead of feeling proud, I feel ashamed for not having managed to stay active, manage my household better or even shower regularly.

May I ask how much money was raised in total?

In the second book Cat says that Jean will mark Kevin if that happens.
