Well if you live in California, where gas costs have become a huge detriment to people’s cost of living, I would completely understand why somebody would get a Tesla even now, albeit with some reluctance. It’s by far the most affordable EV.

If it’s on me to financially screw myself and sell at a loss after finally paying it off, then I’m good. Yes, a part of me feels a little conflicted in hindsight, but it was an affordable EV at a time where California was pushing us hard to buy one.

Buy them a new car if you’re gonna judge so harshly. Public opinion about Teslas was way different less than two years ago. Most people bought one as an affordable way to help the environment and save on gas.

My car is not a political statement. I bought my Tesla to save on gas and help the environment, it’s not my fault public opinion changed. Anybody who thinks my car is anything else is straight up wrong.
