Thank you for asking this, I've been meaning to for ages (and also fearing the jingle answer)
@sturdyalex.bsky.social Happy Birthday!
That is beautiful!
It should, it's brilliant!
I was a Tortoise subscriber and have ended up with the Observer. Now there are adverts in the podcasts on the app and I can't download them. Can't see me renewing my subscription in a hurry. Also gone is the option to provide feedback, so here I am. Unimpressed.
Safe travels, that's quite a lineup you're in!
Mornington Crescent!
So @theobserveruk.bsky.social and @tortoisemedia.bsky.social what's going on? Can't get the news meeting in the Tortoise app and it won't play from the Observer web page. I'm a subscriber and I'm not happy.
Too kind! I'm quite good at listening to it, much less proficient at playing it
Thank you, that's a remarkable performance and what skill you have!
Be quick, you don't want to miss out!
I ordered this yesterday, looking forward to hearing your track
Thank you Alex, that is enough for me to go trawling Qobuz with, very much appreciated, as is everything you do
I really enjoyed this one, thank you. What is the opera that you use for the midnight mass episodes? It's lovely and I need to hear more
My pleasure, thanks for sharing, it was fun!
And 8 is tunic - cut in different ways
I think 38 is copes:
A long ecclesiastical vestment worn over an alb or surplice.
I was in Hlinsko initially, and then Seç, so not as far East as you, although I think they still thought of the area as Moravia. There is a small Moravian settlement east of Manchester (UK), not far from where I now live
I taught English in Czechia in 91, had a wonderful time, loved the country and the people.
That's a cracking line up.
Me too - you're not alone!
I've been looking for a copy of Parasite for years, Richard Lewis did one called Web, I think, about spiders which terrified me as a youth.
