Hell, I adore Bernie and Ilhan and AOC but I'm still going to give them a piece of my mind if they do some fuckshit, and I'm not even their constituent! Because politicians are only good at their job when they hear the needs of their constituents and their coalition members

No politician is owed your allegiance just for existing. Always demand more from them. Always demand better. It's their JOB to listen to you, the voter, who could make or break them in the next election cycle.

There's a genre of Democratic activist that's best described as "Political Fanboys."

All they do is wear good clothes and gush over how cool individual politicians are.

I hate them because their politics aren't rooted in making people's lives better; they're rooted in bowing to power.

I think the point about people wanting the Epstein Files released is they want a list of WHICH powerful people did the abusing.

I've heard from more rural Minnesotans who are EXCITED and ENERGIZED by Omar Fateh's endorsement than from rural Minnesotans who don't like it.

The DFL Party is on the leading edge of a new progressive wave. Centrists can either get with the program or get left behind.

I bought a copy of Highland 2 many years ago and the only way I'm giving it up is if they claw it from my cold dead hands, because the new version added useless AI garbage on a subscription model.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: I'm so jealous that all you Twin Cities get to vote for Ilhan Omar. Imagine having someone so accessible, down-to-earth, and FUNNY representing you in Congress! AND she holds to her principles & stands on business?? Why would anyone ever want to unseat her?

STATEMENT: Duluth currently faces three big issues: Young people are economically pressured to leave town instead of making a life here, more people want to move here than we have capacity for, and citizens feel unheard by the current council. In my nearly 10 years living in Duluth, I have seen so many twentysomethings grow disillusioned with our city and move on to greener pastures. We need more and better economic opportunities to keep young people here. We also have people beating down our doors by the thousands because they’ve been told Duluth is a “climate refuge.” We are simply not ready to accommodate them yet, but we still ought to try. This requires bold leadership from councilors who are ready to listen and push forward novel ideas. To make this work, Duluthians need City Councilors who actively listen to our concerns. I am a longtime pillar of the Duluth film community, known for my listening skills and timely, hard-but-necessary insights on the state of the film industry. As a City Councilor, I would bring these same insights to my work on the Council, born out of listening to my neighbors in the Second District. Making Duluth a better city is a necessary step to draw people here and support a healthy, growing community for years to come. I hope I can do even a small part to make that happen.

Duluth can — and MUST — do better for all the people who want to live here.
