Was there live and I wanna see if its as good as it seemed to be or whether I had that live show bias.

Grand Slam Australia was a brilliant show especially being their live.
MJF vs Brody King was a great TV Main Event but at no point did I think King was going to win and that becomes the problem with MJF's title reign in the early months.

The majority decision was that the Royal Rumble was booty cheeks BUT those vast majority will also tune into Raw then Smackdown to see what's next which is why the WWE creative team never feels the pressure to make the product better.

And it's because AEW have booked themselves into this position, nobody believes MJF will win until at least Wembley and that's even if Ospreay is the opponent.
AEW's booking needs a complete overhaul, currently it's running on fumes and the fact Max is a good heel champ.

The problem is MJF is the champ AEW needs right now so he's likely to hold it for quite a while.
They need to find a way to make MJF look vulnerable but not weak, akin to when Jay White stole the BBB for a few weeks leading to their title match in his 1st reign.

AEW needs to find a way to make challengers to MJF especially early in his reign feel credible instead of predictable.
Brody King is a monster, and he needs to feel like a threat not just a time filler till we get to an Omega, Swerve, Hangman etc.

The right result shouldn't overshadow how terrible that finish was.
The most uncreative finish they could've come up with honestly.

Important title? You cannot be serious.

Also I never said it had to be weeks later, make it at the next PPV & build a story around it.

Making people go through the tournament just for a "shot" also elevates your World Title.

The C2 has been good BUT imagine how much better it would have been if they'd have been fighting for a World Title shot, especially those 2 semi final matches.

A small change can make something good into something GREAT!

As good as the 4-way opener was Mone vs Starkz & Statlander vs Bayne were the standouts of the show.
Excellent stuff, I enjoyed the Willow & Marina interaction again as well.

It was good for what it was but those who claim "Cope doesn't wanna take loses" are made to look a little silly this evening.
