That comma is doing yeoman’s work
It almost seems impossible, but it happened. Phil Berger, the political boss of North Carolina and the architect of the right-wing turn of the state, has lost. #NCPol #NCGA
Pete Hegseth lashed out at a CNN story on the failure to adequately plan for Iran closing the Strait of Hormuz.
But I looked at the story he's criticizing. He's full of shit. He's mischaracterizing the reporting:

Virginia Tech's entrance is one of college football's most iconic. The cost to do it? $25,500.
All told, the Hokies spent over $120,000 on fireworks in 2025. That was the 3rd biggest total... in just its own state.
Here were 2025's biggest pryotechnic budgets.

Two sources with knowledge of the matter said in the run-up to the war, Trump cited -- in internal conversations with US officials -- TV analysis about why the war should be waged, and specifically namechecked pro-war advocates such as “Sean”... as in, Sean Hannity.

I *wish* my transphobic firing last year had been this clear-cut. What kind of moron fucking manager straight up gives that reason?
Chili's is a corporation, it has no personal values or lifestyle.

This article calculates the cybertruck has been 17x more likely to burn an occupant to death than a Pinto. That may be unfair. I’d phrase it as “at least 10x more likely.” There were five fatalities, but only three crashes resulting in fatalities. We don’t know average passenger load.
Here’s a Cybertruck owner who died after a crash that burned so hot, his bones literally disintegrated

Full-on agree
Why would I bomb my good friend, Steve. I’ll bomb Carl. Carl knows why and what he did
“The ricochet is happening around the world, and yet nothing here,” survivor Dani Bensky said. “It just feels like all the rest of the countries in the world are saying that this is problematic, and they’re looking into it and investigating it, and here we’re saying, ‘Nope, nothing to see here.’”
“I’m feeling elated,” Epstein survivor Maria Farmer said. “... I think it’s going to make all the difference for everyone. It proves that power can be toppled.” New piece w/ @justinrohrlich.bsky.social

Don't congratulate John Roberts or the Supreme Court.
Congratulate Rick Woldenberg, the Chicago-area leader of Learning Resources, an educadtional toy company that had the courage to sue the president of the United States to save his family business.
As well as everyone else who stepped up.
