i have less problems with this column existing as i do thinking about what my wife could do with a regular sports column at platform like this. no world where she should be struggling to piece together journalism work
yeah i generally think bam rules and seems like a great role model, not just for kids, but for adults.
also [redacted] is…truly not that
i love mitski but what are you talking about?…no one is saying they all have to be willie and waylon. how about iris dement’s “Goin Down To Sing In Texas,” a moving social commentary that is critical of the state?
that nyt 9 songs about texas is truly an eric alper prompt (specifically one meant to make me jump out of a moving vehicle)
he needs motivation to learn to walk
[shattering sound]
he has debuted Grabbing The Dog and squeezing which she has responded well to (licking face in order to release grip)
man if the baby could take the dog for a walk? really would free up a moment in our lives to eat breakfast, catch our breath etc
have an extra standing room ticket for corb lund tn in dallas if anyone wants
forgot to mention, included is a passioned recommendation to @mattzollerseitz.bsky.social ‘s great book store
the pit-stained gm who just won a super bowl would never question himself like that
i dont like that the ravens traded two first rounders for maxx crosby and all the nfl analysts said that’s a lot for all the wear and tear he’s had on his body they should have just signed trey hendrickson instead and then they backed out of the trade after his physical and signed trey hendrickson
good lord
My tribute to Augie Meyers, the Texas legend who co-founded Sir Douglas Quintet and Texas Tornados with Doug Sahm. Includes a recommended discography which happens to include some of my all-time favorite records.
honestly it’d be even funnier if he called tomorrow and offered three firsts
🙏

"Not only is it predatory in nature the way they seek out potential addicts, nurture their addiction and then come as close as they possibly can to forcing them to bet, but they limit the accounts of people who are good at betting."
it’s a deranged habit. i fantasize about not having fun doing it
dope album
yeah, i mean i think the insidiousness of the company’s mechanisms are still the primary part that lures you in once you’re in the middle part of the book…but it might not resonate quite as hard if you’re less affected by how it has sort of degraded the ability to enjoy to the games on face value
it’s all free and i’ve managed to publish every tuesday through a newborn and a full time job with no parental leave. i try to make each piece relatively timeless. the idea that if someone wanted a day to escape they could keep clicking random posts and reading mytimeback.beehiiv.com/p/everybody-...
if you want to advocate for criticism no better way than to read a guy doing it well purely for the love of the game
As usual, what @jonnyauping.bsky.social writes is a must-read.

didn’t think i needed to read the book, figured i’d just get a couple more talking points out of it. have really become an evangelist for it the past couple weeks though. great work
