i like anthony davis and don’t think i actually want the mavs to trade him but i have always been a silent rj barrett truther and wouldn’t hate having him and two first round picks land on the mavs

But how could we reasonably tell him that if he could look back at our accounts and see pictures of him that were posted on these apps/ sites without his consent? I can't quite square a way where that's reasonable. I really want all my friends to see how cute my son is. And I want them to see how adorable it is when the dog interacts with him. And I want them to see all the milestones. And there's an efficient way to do that, but I don't want my child's image to be on social media. It's just not something I'm
OK with.

for this week’s My Time Back, i wrote about Ta-Nehisi Coates’ Between The World And Me. i also wrote about the threat of technology to our children, specifically my own son, who i want to tell to stay off or limit social media mytimeback.beehiiv.com/p/between-th...

that’s definitely not a judgement of anyone who posts photos of their kid. but i think these are bad companies with insidious goals that almost universally accomplish those goals and i can’t square any short term satisfaction with entities like that having my son’s image

The apps will change, but generally, social media dynamics will remain, and our child will do what he wants (when he's old enough to be able to), but while we still have some influence over him, we'll try to relay that we came up on this social media stuff, and it drained us. We saw it drain people. We noticed when it made us less happy. It can't not do that. That's how it works, even if it has practical purposes. He should try to avoid it or try to limit it. Be someone outside of it. Know who you are away from it.

@jonnyauping.bsky.social’s description of social media as draining a generation or so a clear and concise a read on the vibes of the new century

After yesterday, the Bills now have the best offense in the NFL, based on EPA per drive.

The only Bills offense with Josh Allen that performed better through 14 weeks was the 2024 version.

I think Allen still has a chance to make an MVP push (Maye would be my vote right now).

Why Does A.I. Write Like … That?

"We are unearthing the echo of loneliness. We are unfolding the brushstrokes of regret. We are saying the words that mean meaning." A great, clarifying, skin-crawling piece on A.I. writing 'style' by Sam Kriss. www.nytimes.com/2025/12/03/m...
