The film was likely to have been released around the same time the musical premiered.

The film was cancelled for unknown reasons.

DID YOU KNOW: In the early 2000's, an animated 'Mary Poppins' prequel titled 'Miss Mary Poppins' was in development at Disney.

Unfortunately, the project was cancelled after the Travis Estate denied Disney the rights.
