Being an interracial couple is hard when dealing with family dynamics. I’m trying to learn the language to help with the communication barrier, but I’m struggling. I’m at the brink of tears trying to just figure out a family vacation with them.

Tysm It means a lot. Our generation is doing so much work to break these family cycles, but it’s heartbreaking how often it means losing people we love in the process. Sometimes we have to let go of parts of our family to protect the kind of family we’re trying to build.

Thank you. Just got to realize even if you come about something with love, understanding, and empathy. Doesn’t always mean people will return it. Just sucks it was from someone who should be giving me unconditional love. Thank you for the kind words.

Had a hard convo w/ my mom. Asked for respect & understanding, but got blame, deflection, & views that disregard basic human rights, super hateful toward marginalized ppl. It hurts, but reminds me why I’ve stepped back. Gotta protect my peace/my family when empathy and love isn’t met.

I genuinely can’t tell if I’m being over dramatic or if my chronic illness is actually bad. I have celiac disease which caused a bunch of problems. (Late diagnosis). So my “invisible” illness makes me second guess if I’m actually hurting or over reacting.

One day I’ll learn how to talk to people hahaha

I have a bad habit of pointing out my observations. Instead of being like they were probably not honest with you, how could’ve I gone about that differently? And to be frank the resume was actually pretty bare bones and needed a lot of work.

I understand that too, that’s why I try to be more mindful in what I say. I guess an example is easier to explain. They asked for help on their resume. My words more than happy to help. We can definitely spruce this up and make it more eye catching.
