Butlins Bognor Regis - Southport Weekender.
39th year running.
World’s friendliest party.
View from our room.
Minor façade damage from debris?
No. We wouldn't want to take the glory away from Trump & Co by joining them after they have already won the war. They deserve all the glory for themselves.

UK govt "will not tolerate" energy firms profiteering from Iran war.
It will do what?
Ofgem allows profiteering: electricity pricing formula is based on price of gas, renewables are the cheapest. Profiteering is built in.
Change the formula, levy windfall tax, prosecute profiteering execs.
A procurement crisis absolutely everyone saw coming but which the Department of Health and MoD will now have to tackle, with zero good outcomes – as they've both now signed contracts and have technical reliance on Palantir.
If it's sometimes hard to tell the difference between fossil-fuel lobbyists and the billionaire press, that's because there isn’t one.
My column on the politicians, journalists and junktanks using the Iran crisis as an excuse to extract our remaining gas and oil.

"Palantir CEO Alex Karp thinks his AI technology will lessen the power of 'highly educated, often female voters, who vote mostly Democrat' while increasing the power of working-class men."
Remind me again why Labour is shoving vast public contracts down its throat?
No doubt the Free Speech loving Isabel Oakeshott will be all over this and down the nick in Dubai protesting against it...

There are other reasons for the UK government not to award or continue Palantir contracts but this statement of intent by its CEO must surely be decisive?
Is anyone clear on Reform UK Ltd’s policies on anything?

This wins the internet today.
There are quite a few cynical and sinister figures in British public life. But Tony Blair is among the very worst. www.theguardian.com/business/202...
More grist for @henryriley1.bsky.social’s Riley’s Reform Round-up mill.

Is anyone clear on Reform UK Ltd’s policies on anything?

At least Churchill was pissed.

Another for Riley’s Reform Round-up.

This might be the greatest split-screen ever broadcast.
They’ll play this in museums in future.

Boom!
Ed Miliband must step in and bar Tesla from holding an energy licence.
Elon Musk is a threat to our national security and clearly not a fit person to operate in our energy industry.
We can’t have the lights go out because he’s having a strop on X.
Mainly boomer and GenX. 39th year. Many years in the past it was twice per year.
Had some good day parties too.
Very special weekend for us. Thank you.
In practical terms, is this the BBC weather app using the act data set as the Met office?
Great bit of kitchen equipment.
Given our high volume, unsynchronised, tea making, life is more effective, and efficient.
Better for less.
Slippery slope starts here.
Chef’s nips
Cheers
