Still, cannot believe how naive those senior ALP types can be.

Frogs/scorpions.
Imagine an ALP politician thinking NewsCorp wouldn't NewsCorp.
Imagine the situation of having your working conditions set by a bloke who doesn't.

How about a podcast, "Liz and the Lettuce" where she just banters to a miked up lettuce (iceberg, cos, whatever) for 40 minutes.
06.12.2025 11:55 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Read somewhere once that the whole area once resembled New Zealand, in terms of vegetation cover (although that's also disappearing)

If not, here it is.
Have they done "Why bombing survivors of maritime airstrikes spells bad news for Democrats" yet?

Obviously we need the renewables but I'm going to suggest the planning and oversight of infrastructure around them needs an independent review.
How many other places has this happened?
Absolutely appalling.
Roadside vegetation like this is often some of the only habitat suitable for many species and to be clear felled when there was an identified alternative is just terrible.

Indeed.
I had work done on my own house last year and those guys went til Christmas.
Seems like the bigger builders here (ones doing full knock down redevelopments) have wound down early.
Probably not a bad idea in this crazy heat.
Wonder if there's supply issues?
The many house construction sites in my suburb are silent.
Looks like local #TradieChristmas kicked off about a week ago.
I expect they flew north for ski holidays (Japan seems popular) and will return, like migratory birds, around Australia Day.
It's like "Left Behind" here. The tranquility ๐

The fact that in the US you can seriously endanger an innocent person's life just by sending police to their address is one of the wildest parts of this.

And not far away from there...
I plan to reorientate myself via a course of intensive gardening and wildlife rehab over the next couple of months.
Stay tuned.
Nah, I lost all hope years ago when I realised there was no turning this ship around ๐

I'm sure the FF industry is still pulling the strings, but I'm also pretty certain we won't see another collusion bw the MCA and the Oz running 12 consecutive front pages on a single issue.
Also, the PM seems to remember slights, so this tracks.
Interesting read.
Seems the days of the Minerals Council Australia and the Australian newspaper being able to roll PMs are long past.
MCA CEO making ominous noises at the PM at that industry function kinda blew up in her face.

I've got native bees and my neighbours have these trees. Booo.
So, very happy to see the cockies will get into it.
I can't quite decide if he sounds more like Homer Simpson or Abe Simpson.

"Pause". Favourite with various RW governments.
If something is "permanently paused", it ain't paused, it's ended.

Yeah, might be time to pack in the outside work before I cark it.
Also, the sky is getting noisy.

Then what? Barnaby Joyces Country Party?
They'll need a bigger margin to conduct meaningful reform.
