Got a really exciting email this week: my SF story “Bird-Girl Builds a Machine” is going to be published in Clarkesworld Magazine!!

I’ve collected a lot of form rejections from Clarkesworld over the years so this was a wonderful surprise 🥹

So I’ve been playing a lot of Final Fantasy 16, and I think my biggest critique of it, is that it is clearly is a character action game, but designed with the sensibilities of an MMO. The enemies are too damage spongy and the combat too basic and sluggish. It gets kinda dull

Being a writer can be really tough but it is worth it for the sheer volume of amazing work by other writers that you get to read, for free, and then you can tell them personally how awesome it is? It fucking rules
