I make decent money, too. Not wealthy by any stretch, but I’m starting to struggle by the end of each month now. Any extra expense sends me into panic mode. I’m afraid I will never be able to retire. Maybe we should stop being happy about long life-spans these days. 3/3 😞💔

This is in addition to a sharp rise in other products & services. I just spent nearly $600 for an oil change, windshield wipers & a new car battery. I still need a transmission flush. Guess that will be in next month’s budget. My rent went up this year, too. ($160 more/mo). 2/

I’ve been noticing a steep rise in grocery prices lately. Particularly produce, but also other products, too. And, this is in addition to the higher prices in the last few years. Just feeding myself has become a much larger part of my budget, as my salary has not kept up. 1/

I am a damn good cook, & I’m beginning to feel like I need to open a restaurant called “The Classics.” No fru-fru, extraneous toppings/ingredients. Just classic dishes that everyone craves. Is that too much to ask? 🌏✌️

Today I took my car for an oil change only to find I needed a new battery, a transmission flush & new wiper blades. There went $550 bucks. Cars are so expensive to maintain, but I kinda knew all this was needed, & I have a good mechanic I trust. 💸

This baby girl managed to unlock our front door, & put on her shoes, to go find the Wizard of Oz at 2 years old w/o us knowing. I feel so thankful that kind man found her & looked for her fam. To think, something TRULY AWFUL could have come from that. 3/

Until he got to my house, waking me up at 7:00 am on a Sunday morning holding my daughter. I was shocked! I grabbed my baby from him as he told me he found her walking down the road. When I asked her what she was doing, thru my tears, she said she was “off to see the Wizard.” 2/

When my daughter was 2 yo, she got out of bed at dark-thirty, unlocked the front door, in her diaper & T-shirt w/ Pooh Bear, & started walking down the road. A kind man saw her & went house-house to find who she belonged to. 1/
