Not to be unkind, but I am so impatient about the “what’s the point of making my little zines/comics/crafts/art when the world is on fire” sentiments. I get it, but saving the world is not a responsibility shouldered by your art! That’s what being a neighbor, a friend, and hell, a citizen is for!!!

they didn't need AI to make Silksong, it just needed some deeply insane guys to have a blank check for living expenses until their next thing was done, I think we should try doing more of that instead

I also wanted to add some thoughts about “what’s the point of making art/comic/zines in this horrible world”. And let me hold your hands and tell you this. Because they bring joy to people that appreciates the craft. They bring light and a moment to smile in this god awful world. It matters.
