This is not about public safety. According to reports, thousands of recent ICE detentions nationwide involved very few violent offenders. Expanding detention in our district does not make our communities safer — it spreads fear and intimidation.

Let Rep Tom Kean Jr know what you think of his support for an ICE prison in Roxbury - and his support for ICE/DHS operations that terrorize communities and sweep up innocents along with criminals. (His only "solution" for Roxbury is a bill - with no co-sponsors - to reimburse costs to the town.)

The Roxbury, NJ town council unanimously opposed a new ICE warehouse there and ICE is going ahead anyway.

It looks like Roxbury is ready to go to court to try and stop this.
