This is a political stunt. There are still over 2000 agents actively terrorizing our communities.

Tomorrow, we will go to federal court to continue to fight for all evidence to be preserved for a full and transparent state investigation.
I am not asking for patience. My office is working around the clock on multiple incidents regarding federal agents' use-of-force.
AFSCME is heartbroken and outraged by the senseless murder of fellow union member Alex Jeffrey Pretti and the violence and intimidation enacted by this administration.
We will not let fear destroy the bonds that hold our communities together.
Disappointing to not see the words that have been ringing in our streets: ICE OUT NOW.
25.01.2026 18:35 β π 10 π 4 π¬ 0 π 0Rest in power, Alex Jeffrey Pretti.
Alex Jeffrey Pretti should still be alive. π―οΈ We lost another beloved neighbor today to ICEβs cruelty.
π Alex was our union sibling. He was a Veterans Affairs Hospital ICU Nurse and member of AFGE union. Alex Jeffrey Pretti was a brother, son, and Minnesotan. He should still be alive right now. π
AFL-CIO Mourns Killing of Minneapolis Union Member, Reiterates Calls for ICE to Leave Minnesota: The AFL-CIO mourns the senseless killing of another Minneapolis resident by federal agents. Alex Jeffrey Pretti was a VA intensive care unit nurse and a member of AFGE Local 3669βa brother in our union family. Our thoughts are with Alexβs loved ones, his union siblings, and the people of Minneapolis at this devastating time. As tens of thousands of Minnesotans made clear peacefully and powerfully yesterday, the Trump administrationβs horrific operationβand their actions aimed at stoking violence and chaosβmust end. Americaβs unions join the call for ICE to immediately leave Minnesota before anyone else is hurt or killed. We demand local authorities conduct a full, transparent investigation that will lead to accountability for this tragic and violent act, and for Congress to use its power to hold ICE accountable.
Americaβs unions mourn the senseless killing by federal agents of our AFGE Local 3669 union brother and VA nurse Alex Jeffrey Pretti.
We reiterate our call for ICE to immediately leave Minnesota before anyone else is hurt or killed.
