I was fortunate enough to chair a Sure Start in my area and can vouch for the value, inclusion and overall positivity they engendered within the community. A sad, almost irreplaceable loss when they were cut.

More chaos?? Rovers never make it easy for anyone. What now?

Sometimes when everyoneโ€™s being hysterical over not a lot you need to look at the stories getting no visibility. The Covid Inquiry yesterday declared 180,000 Brits died because Johnson and Hancock ignored expert advice. 180,000 people.

I don't know which is more maddening, his complete kow-tow to "populism" or my own gullibility for believing he could actually be a force for good change... he's just a marginally(very marginally) lesser evil now as he is being swallowed by his own machine.

More than likely Ant....I'm already looking forward to Sky bu**ering up the fixture times and dates again....probably even worse than before ๐Ÿ˜ก. Could be our new sponsor will be Melton Mowbray ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

Been following #Andor Season 2 with interest...thought eps 1 & 2 were relatively slow but 3 was epic... absolutely brilliant...the running juxtaposition of life for Mon and life for Cassian was so good...especially the last act as Cassian returned in the nick of time (not) and Mon whirled in anguish

Journalists quite often get emails written in exactly this style, often sent to scores of recipients on multiple publications, and the sadly reliable assumption is that the irate sender is miserable, paranoid and probably unwell.

Trig point on Bridestones, Yorkshire Evie ( our dog) looking out over Bridestones into the rising sun

Nice out today ( in deepest darkest Yorkshire ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ) ...

God knows ..I'm in the same camp..... it's almost like I feel I've got to have a regular hefty dollop of abject misery to balance out the good things in my life. It's like picking a scab, you know it will do you no good at all, but you still do it ๐Ÿซค

I've given up reading/listening to anything @Rovers put out.... they're worse than Trump's ๐Ÿ’ฉ.... can't believe a word ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ.. but, as you say, hey ho ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ

Thought hard about renewing my #BRFC ST, about all the cr*p ownership / management saga, but, in the end I feel this. If there is one, just one Blackburn Rovers lad out there, trying his utmost in any game, then I will still be there at Ewood for him, the badge & history. #COYB #Teamnotregime

One of our better signings Matt....always gives 100%...if that volley had gone in it would have been goal of the season ...I think despite all our managerial and owner problems it's the raft of injuries which have but**ered us up most...

As he breaks Strom Thurmond's record filibuster against the the Civil Rights Act of 1957, Sen. Cory Booker says that he's "not here though because of his speech, I'm here despite his speech. I'm here because as powerful as he was, the people were more powerful."

No oneโ€™s suffering should be used as content. Prisoners are not backdrops. ๐Ÿ›‘

This is a terrifying normalization of inhumanity. ๐Ÿคฎ

Total domination does not allow for free initiative
in any field of life, for any activity that is not entirely predictable. Totali-
tarianism in power invariably replaces all first-rate talents, regardless of
their sympathies, with those crackpots and fools whose lack of intelligence
and creativity is still the best guarantee of their loyalty.u

This seems like a good time to remind folks of what Hannah Arendt once wrote:
