It’s frustrating how susceptible we are to societal conditioning and the harmful messaging woven into it. I believe justice begins with knowing unpacking is eternal. Forgiveness isn’t the objective. Accountability and action aren’t acts of defeat or punishment—they’re acts of compassion for all.

Rape culture is more than just the extremes that are easy to condemn. It’s built on a foundation of harmful beliefs and behaviors that often go unnoticed—but they demand closer examination. Take a look:
Men: “Rape culture doesn’t exist in the US.”
Also Men: “False allegations are extremely common & have completely ruined every man’s life. A man slaps a woman’s ass, & she’ll call it rape. And I don’t believe she was raped—she’s married to him, wants money, & dresses like a whore.”
If you knew anything about rape culture, you’d realize that those things aren’t mutually exclusive

I think you should consider that Victims can (often unknowingly) participate in rape culture, this participation can contribute to their underreporting, self-blame, guilt, & shame. Ignoring the influences of rape culture & societal norms harms many—especially victims—and perpetuates harmful cycles.
