Ethiopan Airlines firms up orders for nine Ethiopian Airlines has announced that the they has ordered nine Boeing 787 Dreamliner airplanes. The order comes in as demand for long-haul travel continues to rise, with the airline selecting the mid-sized variant - the Boeing 787-9 for its fleet expansion. Ethiopian Airlines will leverage the 787-9 jets to grow its route network, which currently serves 145 international destinations. The airline's latest 787 purchase follows its commitment for 11 737 MAX jets announced at the Dubai Airshow.  Both orders were finalised in December 2025 and boost Ethiopian Airlines' order book by a total of 20 Boeing aircraft.

Pratt & Whitney still in talks with Airbus for A320 Rate 75 industrialization Pratt & Whitney Commercial Engines president Rick Deurloo said the engine maker is “in conversation” with Airbus about its requirement to industrialize for its A320neo Rate 75 monthly goal in 2027.

On its full year delivery call, Airbus's outgoing commercial aircraft CEO, Christian Scherer, said it is still working with P&W on making sure it will have enough engines for its A320neo ramp up to 75/m. It is wild to think that any of the aircraft shown on this map has been tracked in detail by Aviation Flights Group. In fact, we tracked over 2,000 commercial & business jet deliveries in 2025 with nearly 24,000 Test, Ferry or Delivery flights logged.

First Airbus Beluga Flight of 2026 isn't going so well. Low ceilings at Hamburg (XFW) is making it divert elsewhere.

In general central Europe is experiencing full on winter weather at the moment. ❄️

Two unique Delivery stories this morning:

1.) An A320neo flying TLS-IND for what is likely Cabin VIP configuration for Qatar Amiri Flight.

2.) The first #A321XLR for Aegean Airlines flying XFW-LFBF, likely for painting, since its still in all white.

Both are theoretically Delivered.

According to @aviation.flights, Bombardier had a big year-end delivery rush of 30 aircraft for December alone (so far)! Upon checking that is in fact the norm. Its not just commerical aviation rushing planes out by the end of year.

D-AVXB Test flight route for Dec 6, 2025

Still doing its thing out of YXU. Today with a more route based flight instead of doing circles near Lake Michigan.

This flight turned out to be the maiden flight of the new Gulfstream G300. Just like the Gulfstream G280, they will be assembled in Tel Aviv by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) and then eventually ferried over to Dallas (DAL) and St. Louis (CPS).
