Good morning. The time change continues to suck. The world is a hot mess. But spring break is next week & just like my students I'm taking the week off. For some reason I was really convinced today was Friday. But I have PT today which is a bright spot because I love my physical therapist. Need ☕️.

The last couple weeks have been tough: a friend was killed by her ex, my mother died, students impacted by the mass shooting in downtown Austin. I am ready for a break. And a friend sent me this lovely box as a treat. I can't wait to try all of these!
Oh same! This time change has done me in, and I'm already not a morning person. So yeah me and my coffee are in a love affair right now.
True I'm also not being bombed and can disconnect (although in my case, I am in desperate need of a disconnect for personal reasons, so yay spring break next week!).
I don't need lots of details (in fact don't want lots of details), but I'd like to feel the author has thought of details. I just want a feeling of authenticity in the world building.

A good soaking rain is good. Driving to work in the rain, while also very dark, even with astigmatism correction in my glasses, well, that was hazardous. So many pretty, shiny lights!

I wish I could do that! I'm all discombobulated this morning. At least it's my normal wfh day. My first two students didn't show up for their appts, I suspect the time change caught them out.
First 2 appts this morning are no shows. Hope they make their Monday morning classes.
I have 8 appointments today. The first one is (so far and probably totally) a no show. I bet he forgot about the time change. He does have a class at 10, so I hope he makes it. I'm just going to sit here and drink my tea, and ponder the (waves hands) world.

I hate dst, absolutely detest it. It makes no sense in the south where we end up paying higher energy costs. Oh and no one is getting extra daylight! The clock changed not the daylight hours.
I hate daylight "saving" time. Grumble grumble.
I paid almost $7 more today to fill up my car over last weekend. I just love all this winning. $3.19/gallon in Texas, so you know the price is higher elsewhere in the country.

I'm treating myself to First Watch. They bring you your own individual pot of coffee. And I always get a fresh cup to go as well. Plus the food is very tasty.
I woke up really early so got up, did my usual PT, ran 3 errands (including the weekly grocery run). Getting breakfast so I can hopefully get home before the rain starts. Gas was $3.19 at HEB this morning. About $.70/gallon higher than last weekend. It was around $6 more to fill up. #winning
