Thank you very much! ππ
Yeah, I love the way he presents new projects and the enthusiasm and fun he has. They look great!! π
Thank you, Paul. Appreciate it. π
Peachy is my go to channel for all things TTRPG and I watched his Five Leagues videos with great interest and now I'm all in.
He's also got his new Star Wars Five Parsecs video series, and I've been doing a solo 6mm Star Wars Five Parsecs campaign for a couple of years. Great minds 'n' all that! π
Five Leagues:
Lady Katrina is now finished.
She fought alongside Sir Jonas against the Northern Veil during 'The Long Struggle' and is now a member of the Black Stag Mercenary Company, acting as it's second in command.
Our HeroQuest meet up has been cancelled for this weekend. π
Oh well, at least I've got plenty to crack on with. Maybe do some painting instead, or perhaps do some solo 5 Parsecs. π€π
Five Leagues:
Sir Jonas Grey, commander of the Black Stag Mercenary Company, is now finished.
Sir Jonas lead a company of knights during 'The Long Struggle' and ensured that the Southlands retained its freedom, though the troubled Northern Veil still harries the border.
Five Leagues:
I built 2 more characters for my warband: Lady Katrina & Archie.
Lady Katrina served alongside Sir Jonas in the 'Long Struggle' & Archie earned his stripes by singlehandedly holding off 2 dozen bandits who were attempting to raid one of Sir Jonas' farms.
... in 1402, as well as the capture of both Harlech and Aberystwyth Castles. However he disappeared around 1412 after a large bounty was placed on his head and never seen again. His disappearance fuelled Welsh folklore that he will return again, in Wales' hour of need.
Owain ap Gruffudd Fychan, or Owain GlyndΕ΅r, Lord of Glyndyfrdwy, was a Welsh aristocrat & soldier who led a 15-year-long revolt with the aim of ending English rule in Wales. He had a few notable victories, such as theΒ Battle of Mynydd Hyddgen in 1401 & theΒ Battle of Bryn Glas...
HeroQuest:
My youngest son wanted to join in with our next meet up, so he chose the Berserker as his character. I had to get this chap done quickly, as our next session is this Saturday.
I cannot wait!! ππ
Five Leagues WIP:
I've built Sir Jonas Grey, grizzled military veteran and Knight. He Commands the Black Stag Mercenary Company.
This chap will be the leader of my party. Just need to make 2 more characters and 2 followers and then they'll be ready for painting. π
Happy Birthday!
Went over to mum's to clear some boxes of our stuff out. Some old copies of White Dwarf and @WargamesIll, including one from 2009, just before they changed to the catalogue style thicker magazine.
This stuff is a treasure trove of "how to make" and scenarios to play!! ππ
My second Warlord games article, covering how I go about painting Epic Scale English Civil War range, has now gone live! I'm really chuffed with this one.
Please repost and share and let me know if it's been any use to you. Thanks!

Five Leagues:
I've finished the first miniature. This chap is Henry, who is a squire to the knight, Sir Jonas Grey. I've started building Sir Jonas, but more on him next week.
I've also started writing a little narrative for them and planning the first few scenarios too. π
Pembroke Castle, Wales.
In 1189 the timber castle was given byΒ King Richard IΒ toΒ William Marshal, as well as the title 1st Earl of Pembroke. He rebuilt Pembroke Castle into a stone fortress, the remains which can be seen today.
Five Leagues:
I'm waiting on a couple of sprues to arrive before I build any of my warbands. In the meantime, I've decided on my own world, that way I'm not restricted in what I can do with it. I'll start world building tonight and coming up with some story elements. Fun! ππ
As a solo gamer, I really enjoyed Five Parsecs, so I intend to jump in with both feet with this project. π
Yeah, that's the way I'm leaning. Add what I want. Create my own factions. My own lore. My own world map. π
There are no rules for mounted combat/chariots. But I've seen people treat mounted units as being on foot. There's nothing to stop you adding your own house rules though. I'm going to add some mounted guys at some point. π
Having played 'Five Parsecs', I thought I'd dip my toes into 'Five Leagues' as well.
I'm unsure of my setting. I'm torn between making my own realm, or setting it in the GOThrones-verse or Witcher-verse.
I'll have a think. π€π
(Inspired by @peachytips.bsky.social superb videos)
English Civil War:
A bit more progress. I like to get the command done first and then work my way down the sprue. It gives me something to aim for when completing each subsequent base. π
I like courgette. Aubergine is my nemesis. I can't stand it! π«
They look great, Ed! π
English Civil War:
This has to be the first meme in English history. It's also incredibly funny too! I'll have to incorporate this into my army somewhere. π
π
English Civil War:
Another Parliamentarian unit has been started. I've been a bit slow with the progress recently, but progress is still progress!
More soon. π
Thank you very much! π
Thank you! π
English Civil War:
My battery of Parliamentarian Falconets is now finished. I decided to paint the gun carriages and crews different colours, just for the sake of variety. I'm really happy with them. π
