It is *hard* right now to be a trans writer who transly writes trans books. We don't know if a publisher is going to decide what we do is no longer worth the effort in the face of a government that clearly has it out for us. Even the smallest reassurance means the world.
Abolish the legal gender marker entirely. No government can be trusted to have a database of which people have changed theirs, no government has any business tracking what your gender is "supposed" to be in the first place.
