I've thought this same thing with code comments. I think the benefit though is that you get quick context by comments (and commit messages). If you want more details, then you also get that through AI. So I guess you get the best of both. But yeah, I've had a similar thought.

I've done the same to a console app that's responsible for migrating a lot of data. This change significantly improved overall performance.

AI has no intelligence, it responds with statistically probable answers based on the information it was given. If it's trained on unrealistic data, it will respond in kind. That makes its answers neither right not wrong, it's how you use those answers.
