📢New behind the paper story
Using the #zebrafish retina as a model, Jaakko Lehtimäki
@jalehtimaki.bsky.social, Caren Norden
@nordenlab.bsky.social & team dissect multipolar migration in the developing brain. In this post, Jaakko takes us through their research.
This week we are introducing neuromodulatory assembloids.
Over the past few years, many circuits and cell-cell interactions have been modeled in assembloids, but these systems have not systematically incorporated neuromodulation.
Wow, it looks fantastic !!
How many tiles for this stitching? 😱
You are the best !!! Very much looking forward to collaborate !!!
Eres una crack 💪🏽🔥💪🏽
To be properly celebrated in the best place of all: Zé... 😉 (I cannot say the full name to keep it protected as @christlet.bsky.social & @henriqueslab.bsky.social said)
Our #preprint list is now up on FocalPlane.
Start your week feeling inspired by the latest research using microscopy to answer questions in biology. Let us know if you have any recommendations for us to add.

Very nice imaging !
It seems that some areas of the brain are somehow depleted of microglia.
Is that correct? And if so, who takes over the immunosurveillance in those regions?
Not something you see in textbooks very often: tripolar mitosis.
