The City of Kamloops is clarifying earlier reports regarding a project planned for Columbia St. this summer. While a large utility project has been tentatively scheduled for 2027 to avoid overlap with the Overlanders Bridge project, a small paving project on Columbia St. will take place in August.

👉 Get ready for road closures on August 8 and 9, for the 31st annual Hot Nite in the City.

➡️ Partial closures start Friday, August 8, at 6:00 pm (Victoria St: 3rd Avenue to 6th Avenue and sections of 4th Avenue and 5th Avenue ).
➡️ Full closures on Saturday, Aug 9, 6:00 am–7:00 pm.

✅ Try drip or micro irrigation for better control.
✅ Use “smart” timers that adjust based on weather or soil moisture.
✅ Add a rain shut-off switch to your system.
