Recent amendments to the Equality Act 2010, effective from January 2024, reinforce the UK's commitment to anti-discrimination protections post-Brexit. The recent Pontin's case highlights the Act's crucial role in safeguarding equal rights. #EqualityAct2010 #EqualRights
The Equality Act 2010 legally protects people from discrimination in the workplace and in wider society. This includes those using guide dogs, yet the BBC's Sean Dilley has had hundreds of incidents of refusal of service, and online abuse and threats when he speaks out.

We don't think it should work that way. You shouldn't have to fight for things that laws have already been passed to protect. Our aim is to raise the profile of the Equality Act 2010, to educate and inform, so people know what their rights are, and to provide tools to help them exercise those rights
The Equality Act 2010 was created to protect the rights and dignity of vulnerable minorities. For 15 years it's existed on paper, but is essentially a choice whether organisations adhere to it.
