Great to hear so many Rugby League fans saying how much they liked the Hill Dickinson Stadium today at The Ashes, England V Australia. The 1st major sport event, not involving Everton at our new home

Absolutely everyone I’ve spoken to or overheard so far is absolutely blown away by the stadium. Which given most of these people don’t have any tribal football loyalties because they’re rugby fans is very enlightening. We really should all be very proud that this is OURS & stop picking holes in it.

Australia are the best rugby league side, that's obvious. But we've given them a proper scrap this time and I definitely think our stadium is making a difference. The atmosphere has been fantastic.
