Maybe some kind of preprocessing or drive is slow / heavily used

Maybe a newer tab could benefit you in terms of performance. It could be more precise, quicker and have higher resolution. But that depends on the specs of new and old.

It's quite funny so watch #moon fotos of other people. Depending on where they live, it is everytime rotated in another way.
