At least one of our devs also has a self-hosted Zulip instance and has found it easy to deploy. It's much less pretty and fun than other chat software, but it gets the job done. Also the Zulip developer community has been friendly and open to adding features that make it more fun for casual use

Do you know C/C++? Mixxx is improving our responsiveness under digital vinyl control and we need someone to help develop an approach that balances responsiveness, accuracy, and resilience to bad input data. This is a real-world opportunity to stretch signal processing muscles.

Accessibility is an area Mixxx has struggled with for a long time, and as an all-volunteer project we have struggled to recruit devs to address it. If you have a passion for accessibility and are interested in a chance to have a big impact, hit us up.
There is ongoing work to create an open library that can write rekordbox USB sticks. It's still early days but if it's successful it would give DJs an alternative.
Mixxx Stable 2.5.1 Released!
This release contains a lot of improvements, fixes, new and improved controller-mappings. Remember, you don't have to be a programmer to contribute to Mixxx. Translating, testing and checking for possible regression is just as important.

#GSOC is a program that enables students to work on open-source projects over the summer. Participants are matched with mentoring organizations and collaborate on various projects under the guidance of experienced mentors.
