Day 47 — Two O’Clock Titty The Cathedral of #SaintMaryoftheAssumption (1971) in #SanFrancisco was modelled after the Cathedral of Saint Mary in Tokyo. While it was never an intentional design choice, thanks to a combination of the Brutalist church’s geographic location and architectural shape, a shadow in the shape of a breast spreads across the church for all to see each afternoon. Other nicknames include #OurLadyofPerpetualAgitation and #OurLadyofMaytag because the structure resembles the agitator of a washing machine. The peepshow is best caught around 2 pm from the corner of Rose and Octavia Streets and remains a staple of academic life for #Catholic schoolboys. Photo: 2010 #TwoOClockTitty
