Presumably, given that people disagree, they would give different answers about what is obvious (to them). Because things aren't obvious to nobody from nowhere, and appeals to "obviousness" are terrible ways of settling disputes.

Thanks, just read that thread. Would you say that MMT is right in some regards, or that it has insights which are important for being able to implement fiscal policy that achieves desired political outcomes, BUT it's more complicated than that, OR, it's total rubbish?

- Goliath's Curse: A case study on the causes of societal collapse
- Roman Britain, Boudica (particularly interesting with me moving to Verulamium)
- Politics around the end of WW2
- The death of Hitler

Past Present Future:
- Excellent series on democratic institutions, their history and various arguments around various systems of government, amongst other things. ( for example I enjoyed learning about the end of the Bretton-Woods system here too )

History Hit:
- ...

Nullius (contd):
- Fairly evaluating different approaches to statistical tools and situating them in real life research

Conspirituality:
- I've particularly enjoyed the series on anti-fascist Christianity incl the episodes on Bonhoeffer and Niebuhr's influences on him and Simone Weil.

Decoding the Gurus:
- Generally staying on top of the cesspit of weird grifters and their cults who all seem to make their way into MAGA eventually

Nullius in Verba:
- The sociology of Statistics and some great Philosophy of Science ( I particularly enjoyed that reading from that Marxist guy)
