Motorists trying to make a right turn on red block crosswalks and the diagonal wheelchair ramp. They look left for oncoming traffic and won’t look right for pedestrians. If we don’t knock on their passenger window to get them to look right, they can kill us. It’s one of the deadliest situations

The Iran War Is Also Now a Semiconductor Problem The conflict is exposing the deep energy vulnerabilities of Korea’s chip industry.

Why Korea & Taiwans stock markets are tanking
No Gulf energy ->No manufacturing of Chips -> No Sales to AI data centers
And why Asia is rationing electricity, fertilizers & industries
Those shutdowns will RUN through world economy

I dunno man, I think precipitously canceling people's funding caused a lot of damage to other people's careers and lives and reputations and maybe they should live with the blowback. They come from a media ecosystem that makes public lists of insufficiently bigoted professors.

LA Metro faremoggs all other American transit systems. You can go from Pomona to Long Beach for just 1.75, insane

🚇🚍 To plan a transit trip, use Google or Apple Maps, Transit & Moovit apps or trip planner on metro.net

The rise of online vibrant events in early Covid offered a lot of hope for disabled/chronically ill people who have access issues attending IRL events (including going into a flare later). Anti-Zoom reactive sentiment pushed a lot of people into being more isolated again.

Yes, because then the dad can help you when the son is working elsewhere. I really liked the son, who you can hire through the official Vietnam tour guide agency. Dm me for his what’s app and name.

EVA Air uses Taipei as a hub. You can fly to Vietnam and get a free layover in Taiwan. Hotels in New Taipei City just across the river are cheaper and more modern than in Taipei if stairs and walking is a problem.
I really liked mid priced Wholesome Hotel in Taipei, if walking is ok

At the end of our time in Saigon, I asked our guide how to get custom clothing. He said that you hire his bilingual (Vietnamese and Cantonese) father who takes you to Chinatown fabric stores and tailors. We tell the English speaking guide what we want, he explains to his dad, who knows everyone

I’ve known two military supply chain logistics NCOs IRL. Both were African American men that were way smarter than Hedseth, but he woulda fired them anyway

I'm conserving fabric for a matching skirt by using some leftover cotton sateen for the under collar and inside yoke

It's actually a Tahitian fabric design purchased during our 2024 Tahiti bike trip. I hope to have enough leftover fabric for a skirt

This is dumb. As is going after corporations owning homes. It's the cost of housing and car dependence that is costing Californians, not taxes.
Go after the NIMBYism that prop up housing scarcity and mandatory car ownership

Red and white banana leaf fronds pattern sewn into an open collar camp shirt. A blotchy red/navy/white sateen lines the inside yoke because I am saving fabric for the matching skirt.

The moment of truth for my Aloha shirt #Sewing projects comes when it is mostly put together and I check the center front pattern matching

"An elderly woman was hospitalized with serious injuries after being struck by a juvenile on an electric bike in Orange County, police said."

Oh, by the way, it was a Surron that can go 59 mph. An e-bike my ass.

Huge, huge sympathies for Ds in CA trying to find a non-clown to vote for in the governor's race.

The California form is not called W-2. You can look it up yourself. I don't know why a Canadian is playing whataboutism about California tax fairness reform unless you get paid for it.
I want my Soros big bucks for posting about progressive policies
