In Redondo Beach, where even studio apartments are required to provide 2.33-2.50 off street parking stalls per home, installing public chargers on condo property is illegal. We are not allowed to rent out residential parking spaces, even unused ones.

Another Boulder condo had underground parking with individual meters in garage. So they were able to install Level 2 chargers for every unit tied to individual meters. No need to upgrade panels or grid into the building bc they charged overnight.

There is such an outfit. They worked up a proposal for our Boulder condo. We hit a sticking point in that they needed to use our already limited guest parking spaces, blocking them off from guests. And they wanted to make them available to everyone, not just residents. Expensive, too.

I was told that it is in the contract between Metro and LASD. I hope this improves when Metro brings back their own transit police rather than contract with LAPD, LASD, and LBPD

I attended a Metro LA South Bay Service Council meeting tonight. My first time, I was shocked by 3 LASD sheriff's deputies in full combat gear at a public transit meeting.
This is just what they wear on the job. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Take Maricopa to Crenshaw. Then the Crenshaw sidewalk is narrow until the train tracks, then widens to a multiuse path through the transit center. The bike racks are on the north side near the kiss and ride.

Redondo Beach PD held an ebike education event for parents to help them pick a legal ebike for their kids. 18 parents showed up.
