Haha, no, the children were playing and I intervened, and the 10 yo did not appreciate my intervention.
This morning, the 10-yo refused to go to school, after we quarreled about 'playing with a large screw driver'. Major emotional energy drain. It is hard to switch to writing. #PhdLife #Motherhood

Today we had a garden party for my birthday (and I also happen to be a woman) 🎂, and in the evening we watched 'The boy who harnassed the wind'. It is important to be aware of the possibility of scarcity (food, school), in our global northern sphere of often suffocating and decadent wealth.
A Dutch word for something (or more commonly someone) that you can’t think of the name of is huppeldepup! There is no word that I enjoy saying aloud more. HUPPELDEPUP!
There’s also a pub in The Hague that puns on the word huppeldepup…
The 10 year old did his 'spreekbeurt' about Sherlock Holmes. Love it. Proud. You know, regular mom stuff.
