The grief from losing my brother to brain cancer ten years ago still lingers. At the time, after caring for him over three intense years, I felt only a deep sadness—no tears, just a quiet ache. But when it comes to our beloved pets—our dogs and cats—I cry and cry. Their absence breaks my spirit. Yesterday, our dear Miri, a stray cat who chose us and shared her life with us for twelve loving years, was tragically run over just outside our home. We live in a small village, and the road only leads to four houses, making the loss feel so stupid. RIP Miri. You found us, loved us unconditionally, and became family.💔
