One of the things I don't think people have really grokked yet is that we're likely to overshoot our needs when building out our green energy capacity so fast & as a consequence we're going to have a lot of spare energy to play with.
Honestly I think aviation gets solved with a combo of increased efficiency & renewables getting cheap enough that it's cost effective to make synfuel.
