While the ET editorial goes oh-so-soft in its criticism of Uttarakhand's UCC, the TOI editorial tears it apart - "Takes police into bedrooms, tells adults their parents still run the show. This is a sad and bad beginning of a new law".

"Intrusion into the private lives of people. The aim seems to be to ensure that intimate relationships have social sanction. This is at odds with people’s right to privacy and individual liberty."

A lot of that kind of thing is social media teams with very little — if at all — journalistic training doing their own thing and the actual journalists not caring.

Yes! El Paisa and El Modelo. Preferred the former as it has indoor seating

Apparently the owner of the White family residence isn't very happy with the attention it gets. Some even throw pizzas on the roof

It is very exciting that you are in ABQ now. As a couple of months ago I had travelled to Peru and Chile inspired by Gaurav's threads and your blog posts. And this month I was in ABQ on a whim.

It's also really fun to listen to the radio. They have lawyers like Saul advertising their services. I remember one Hurt? Call Bert

True! At sunset, I went to the recreation area at Sandia base and hiked for less than 10 mins to find myself a spot to watch the sunset colours while the city lay spread out below. Just like Breaking Bad. Vince Gilligan really captured it nicely

Tattooed guys in oversized hoodies and baggy pants were on street corners while their lady friends used the street lamp to pole dance. A lot of white homeless people. Some of them were air drumming. I saw a police car speed into a motel and shine bright lights on to a car there. But all were polite

The motel had a guy who migrated from Bangalore 4 months ago. He said he is studying in UNM. The first night I was there, it felt like an America that I hadn't seen earlier. There were old Cadillacs with fairy lights playing loud music on Central...

Hahaha I was in the motel next to this pump just two weekends ago. Remember seeing this pump. Met a white homeless person here late night while filling up. He was very polite in asking for something to eat. I had a muffin from the motel's breakfast. He was ver appreciative of such a little thing

A Deer Shot In The Headlights
What do you do when you see the great American pickup truck that (over)sped past you moments ago run over a deer and screech to a stop off the shoulder of a dark, desolate 2-lane highway?

Of all types of road accidents, this one scares me THE most: a vehicle from the opposite direction losing control, jumping the median and hitting your vehicle! An ex-colleague lost his child many years ago in the Mumbai-Pune highway. 1/2

The bulk developer job role in IT companies will invariably go down the route of the draughtsman in Manufacturing firms once CAD started coming in.

AI coding means MASSIVE culling is coming to Indian tech sector. Why NRN wants to extract 70 hour work weeks before his labor arbitrage party ends.
