JUST IN: 5.1 magnitude earthquake strikes off the coast of Oregon (southwest of Orford, Oregon).

Yesterday evening, a magnitude 5.8 earthquake led a swarm of quakes off the Oregon coast or roughly 165 miles northwest of Eureka, California. While a tsunami is not and wasn't expected, it's a significant event for the region.

The Garnet Fire has reportedly reached the ancient McKinley sequoia groves east of Fresno California.

The fire burned into grove of giant sequoias; several behemoths are/were in flames this evening. - Los Angeles Times

A earthquake swarm is rattling Idaho, with multiple quakes up to magnitude 3.9 reported near Spencer over the past 48-72 hours.

These are small earthquakes; but there has been a swarm of them. While, most people won't notice it, but people near the epicenters probably did. Did you feel them?

While, it's small -- a 3.3 magnitude earthquake occurred near Stockton, Kansas tonight. It's relatively rare, but it does happen.

Most won't feel it, but some people may. Did you feel it?

Firefighter/first responders are heroes for trying to keep the public safe.

Firefighters do an AMAZING job containing wildfires. Can't thank them enough.

Let's hope the firefighters contain the fire enough to save the ancient McKinley sequoia grove in California before the fire reaches there.

Looks like there may have been a rare Nevada tornado near Lone Mountain (very close to Las Vegas) on Friday night!

It's possible that breeze interactions + a decent amount of vorticity may have caused this possible extremely rare tornado/landspout.

BREAKING: Evacuations underway in the Sunnyslope neighborhood of Jurupa Valley near Riverside, California for the Pyrite Fire which has burned more than 150 acres.

You know it's sad that, that I have to say "fund and staff the NWS & NOAA".

It's also sad that I have to debunk weather conspiracies like "geoengineering is creating tornadoes and hurricanes" that isn't true.

Yet here we are. All agencies involving the weather should be funded/staffed. Period.

BREAKING: 6-5 Fire has caused a lot of destruction/devastation in historic Gold Rush town of Chinese Camp in California, official says; homes and other buildings burned down.

BREAKING: Several homes in flames in Chinese Camp, California as a wildfire known as the "6-5 Fire" continues to rapidly grow. The fire is at 2,900+ acres and growing.

California has been hit at least 10,000 lightning strikes today alone causing dozens of wildfires to flare up across the state.

It’s going to get smoky across California and perhaps Nevada, Oregon and Arizona.

This is the most lightning strikes in the state of California in one day since 2020.

Unfortunately, the town of Chinese Camp in California is being directly impacted by the "6-5 Fire" -- a 2,900+ acre wildfire. Several structures are now being impacted.

Please evacuate if ordered.

If you live around Grand Marais or Grand Harbor, Minnesota or southwest Ontario, Canada -- it's possible the first snow/snowflakes of the season occurs on Thursday morning mixing in the rain. ❄️🌧️

Colder air continues to sink into the North Central U.S and this will expand eastward in coming days.

My timeline is full of pictures of Northern lights from last night/early this morning and that's a good thing.

There has been a lot of negative posts through my timelines (Instagram, Threads etc).

While, I didn't see the Northern Lights in person -- I'm glad to see positive posts on my timeline.
