If you have an existing prescription, you're fine, you can use that in a pharmacy. This is purely down to the NGS empire building, you can find GPs that will continue treatment (though the NGS try to scare them and say only they should prescribe, which is nonsense)

To be clear, they are not restricted (other than being prescription only), if a GP contacts the NGS looking for guidance on how to prescribe for a trans person they will be told they shouldn't and should leave it to them. There is nothing stopping a GP from prescribing themselves and some will

I'm not sure how? It's not specifically targeting anyone from the UK, it's everyone who never went through their system. I transitioned here long before the NGS was a thing and even I would have to sign up to them to get hrt if I was in different circumstances
I do keep telling people, we're an ok country to live in if you're trans, but our trans healthcare is abysmal (the NGS stuff is only the beginning, we do have private healthcare, and insurance will (now) cover the cost of some surgeries, but unlike the US, stuff like FFS isn't covered)
