For too long, we’ve been divided and pitted against each other by those who crave obscene wealth and power.

If I were running the DNC, there would be Democratic Party sponsored food relief banks across the country right now that specifically welcomed anyone regardless of party affiliation.

As a reminder, when Biden announced student loan forgiveness—based upon a statute passed by Congress which explicitly said the President could do exactly that—Douthat called it "semi-Caesarist" because it was done "without consulting Congress."

Trump is claiming no inflation.

He knows that, unlike him, we actually do our own shopping and know that’s bullshit, right?

If we are taking in “trillion” of dollars in tariffs:

1. Why haven’t we paid down a cent of the debt?

2. Why can’t we afford to not fuck millions of people over with expiring insurance subsidies?

3. Why is none of it being used to help the abysmal job market?

They certainly should. I don’t know how much control they’ll have over actually doing it, but people need to be made aware of the potential conflict of interest for sure
