If this fails, you probably have to call it. Which doesn’t mean KOC is bad or can’t be better elsewhere but some point you gotta just clean the slate
It’s partly just playing the odds. I like Mendoza; plenty of QBs I like or otherwise highly drafted QBs don’t necessarily become stars.
Again, I think he *will* be better than some of those guys, I just lean towards the certainty/proof in many cases
Andor kicks fucking ass
No and I probably wont anytime soon because I don’t know if Ive ever enjoyed an extraction game. Just never clicked for me
Im back to refusing to treat CLE seriously until they earn it
Definitely below Maye and Williams. Below Ward. Probably above Daniels (for clarity’s sake, I was not particularly high on Daniels relative to where he went). Definitely above the rest
I have! just not since really early on, like before NFL season. I want to give it another whirl this offseason
here’s one problem even if I want to believe that: I do not think the OL is good
I’d change my stance on that depending on the QB prospect of course. It’s a sliding scale.
I like Mendoza but not the way I did, say, Williams or Maye
Yes. QB is a position where I will take one in the hand over two in the bush.
I’d rather have the QB I already believe is good than a guy who is hopefully as good and only cheaper for a few years, the first one or two of which they almost certainly wont be as good as the expensive guy
Right, especially on a roster that could very well be back in the AFC championship game again if things go their way. Im not the biggest Nix fan but easy to see why they wouldn’t consider moving him at all
Panthers would be my first pick.
Then maybe Jags because hard for them to add this offseason and maybe TEN becomes competent
No, not at all. There’s a difference between “I like this about Mendoza and what his potential is” versus “I would trade him for these QBs who I already know to be anywhere from capable to good”
So long as two of the first three picks play in the back-seven I’ll hold my rage
I’d want to spend my first pick there. I expect them to as well — pretty deep edge class
Dexter I’m still holding out hope for — none of the guys they signed this offseason are more than depth so theyre not unseating him, totally reasonable to think year two in a system does him good
definitely was for the first 20 min or so. wind is MOVING
He was GRIEFED by that receiving corps. OL and run game gave him a shot at least but a lot of unrealized yards because of the pass catchers. Im still as excited about him as I was when he was drafted
It was more in guarantees than I was expecting. That’s what startled me when it came through
I guess we’re all also just tired of seeing the Bills shop in the 30+ mid tier edge range all the time
Im going to let them at least get through the draft to see where I settle on the OL stuff. Smith is a more ambitious / higher ceiling move than any of what they did last year at least
I think QBs like Nix (moderately promising Year 2 QB on a strong playoff team) basically never get traded. I dont know what the track record for that would even be
100%. I like Mendoza significantly more as a prospect, am not worried about injury history, and still think there are a lot of questions with Dart even if some flashes were fun
I am a window regular
It’s fun to think about but yeah Im kind of in the boat of this being too extreme. AJB could add a vertical element they dont quite have I guess but Nacua/Adams already *can* do that and are both good outside. Feels like the wrong way for them to go all in
I despise what the Eagles have been for years
least favorite defense is maybe like … Eberflus? and that’s going back to even the IND days when it was a little more C2
I like Ward and Saleh, and generally think betting on QB/HC combos you like is a good idea, but I kinda need to see it with this offense first I think
I knew I was forgetting one of my children
and Trevor duh
they’re following a principle I enjoy as a neutral observer which is this: if you can’t be good, be unique and frustrating. Willis/Waddle/Achane speed trio and a competent OL might do that
I think you take a day 2 swing on a bigger body. Don’t pigeonhole yourself into something new right away and be ready to recreate the offensive image entirely in a year or two
some of the defensive signings are nice but Washington’s offense looks disgusting to me
